This three year program opened March 2002.  The first graduating class will be June 2005. 45 students will be graduating.  They will join the growing ranks of teachers to help in building Nuba's future through education.

This is one of the most important training programs for teachers in the Nuba Mountains. 

Class room space needs to be expanded to address the need for teachers in the Nuba. 

The cost to underwrite one teacher for one month is $150, for one school year (9 months), the cost is $1,350. There is no charge for the students who attend. Feeding cost for staff and teachers is $200 for one month, or $1,800 for one school year.

One activity which the students are doing to underwrite the cost of the program is selling peanuts during the summer months.
