The Task Ahead
Rebuilding following a long and destructive civil war.
With the signing of the Peace Agreement January 2005, 22 years of civil war "officially" came to an end. The work of rebuilding and development of all the basic infrastructures of the Nuba People is now beginning.
The first step which NCFM, Inc., U.S.A took, in preparation for this coming day of peace and rebuilding, was to invite Bishop Adam Elnail Andudu to the United States. Bishop Andudu is the bishop of the Diocese of the Kadugli-Nuba Mountains, Episcopal Church of Sudan. He is also co-chair of NCFM-Sudan, our sister organization in the Nuba Mountains. Through the month of March 2004, he shared the story of their long-suffering and gave witness to the vibrant joyful faith of the Nuba People.
Bishop Andudu's visit with us laid the formation for a network of people to be alongside him and the Nuba People. It is this network of churches and people here in the U.S. that we seek to expand for a work of prayer and support for the Nuba People in their rebuilding the Nuba, their churches, their schools, and their capacity to meet the needs of the people.
